I started this project inspired by workshops and lectures, amassing a playlist of other composers and performers as a way of researching the field. I have also been reading Haunted Weather written by David Toop and found it is giving me an insight into this sonic world.
I will explore feedback and potentially the use of contact microphones to create active surfaces to excite. Exploring the different types of feedback that are available I will then try to combine these in different ways in order to produce interesting results. I will also explore using contact microphones to trigger feedback as well as potentially using coil microphones to create gestures and textures.
