I acquired a Behringer FX600 and experimented using it in the loop with the other pedal and effects unit. I found this has given another new array of sounds that can be accessed as the combination of the two effects units both processing sound differently and the DigiTech pedal used mainly for its crude EQ allows for sound to be generated and shaped effectively. I found it especially fruitful playing with the pitch shifter and flanger on the FX600 the input volume of the EMP100 and the shaping tools of the DigiTech. Here’s how some snippets of how it sounded.
Using the FX6000 and EMP100 to create a feedback loop between the two pedals I ran them into the DigiTech for basic EQ shaping. I found playing with the on/off button on the FX6000 was good for changing the timbre of the EMP100 and allowing for slightly more complicated gestural shapes. The pitch shifter on the FX6000 gave the most control over the sound and controlling the amount of the effect via the level knob was fruitful as well for achieving subtle tumbrel changes on certain preset on the EMP100. I found presets 42, 51, 140 the most fruitful.
